Last February, a convenience store in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.

A man chooses cigarettes and food and pays by mobile phone.

However, a month later, the cell phone bill with this amount was not sent to this man, but to Mr. A, who was hospitalized next to the convenience store.

On the day of the purchase, Mr. A was in a coma.

[Mr. A's sister: I was embarrassed.

I can't move because I'm at the hospital.]

Family A, who thought the bill was suspicious, was surprised to see the CCTV video of the store where the payment was made.

This is because the person who did the checkout with Mr. A's cell phone was none other than Mr. B, a man in his 20s who was hospitalized in the same room as Mr. A.

[Mr. A's sister: This person goes out and he buys and eats what he wants to eat.

He has food delivered.

I ate it again with his younger brother's cell phone.]

Mr. B also raised the payment limit for 300,000 won to 1 million won.

B continued the crime by transferring the victim's payment information to his mobile phone even after being discharged from the hospital.

He even showed the meticulousness of sending a text message to Mr. A to check whether he was discharged from the hospital.

[Mr. B: I didn’t have money, so I wanted to buy something to eat. (I did.) There are several other victims besides the person who called now.]

Mr. B’s purchases through Mr. A’s cell phone in two months amounted to about 2 million won. .

The police have booked Mr. B for fraud and are investigating methods of stealing personal information.
