Pope Francis has said he is considering a visit to Kiiu, the Ukrainian capital that is being invaded by Russia.
"Yes, it is on the table," Pope Francis told reporters when he asked if he was considering a request for a visit from Ukraine's political and religious circles on a private plane to the Mediterranean island country of Malta, according to Reuters.
In a phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky on the 22nd of last month, Pope Francis emphasized the Vatican's mediation efforts to end the war, and it is known that President Zelensky at the time expressed his desire to invite the Pope.
However, Pope Francis declined to comment on the details, Reuters said.
