Ethics Committee for Government Officials has disclosed regular property changes for 1,978 public officials, including government officials, regional and regional, basic group heads, and lawmakers.

The average wealth per public official was 1.621.45 million won, an average of 160 million won more than when reported last year.

The public official with the most fortune was Lee Kang-seop, the Minister of Justice, who reported 35,677 million won.

It seems that the valuation of the holdings has increased nearly 9 times due to the rise in stock prices.

The largest increase in wealth was followed by Lim Jun-taek, chairman of the National Fisheries Cooperative Federation, Hwang Gyu-bok, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Assembly, and Nam Young-sook, economic adviser to the Presidential Secretariat.

Among the incumbents in the central government, 118 people owned two or more houses, and one in seven was a multi-family dweller.

Some even reported the seventh highest number.

The ratio of multi-homeowners has decreased by less than half from two years ago, which is interpreted as a result of the government's recommendation to sell homes to high-ranking multi-household officials from the end of 2019.

The Public Service Ethics Committee will review all changes in the property disclosed this time by the end of June.

[Yeon Won-jeong/Director of Ethical Service, Ministry of Human Resources and Innovation: In case of excessive increase or decrease in property, we plan to review the process of property acquisition and the process of property formation such as income source, etc.
