A video of a man indiscriminately assaulting a delivery man in the middle of a road in broad daylight is rapidly spreading online.

After receiving the report, the police launched an investigation.



Yesterday (28th), Incheon Namdong Police Station received a report that a passenger A (30s) assaulted a deliveryman B (30s) who was driving a motorcycle on the road near Ganseok 5-way intersection in Ganseok-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon at around 12:18 pm on the 26th. .



At that time, a citizen who witnessed the assault reported it to the police, and when the police arrived at the scene, Mr. A and Mr. B had already left.



However, a video of the assault presumed to have been filmed by an eyewitness at the time was posted on an online community and has since spread among netizens.



The video showed a man hitting the delivery man wearing a black helmet several times in the face, so that his helmet was blown off.



He then pulled the deliveryman off the motorcycle, grabbed his head, and continued punching him in the face.




A witness uploaded a video and said, "On the road, a delivery driver was being hit by a man who appeared to be the owner of a Grandeur who had his emergency light turned on next to him. Isn't this high? I really hope that I get a prison sentence."



The police confirmed the identities of driver A and deliveryman B and requested attendance at the police station.



However, the police said, "The perpetrator may be charged with assaulting a driver under the Act on Aggravated Punishment for Specific Crimes, so we are confirming the exact circumstances."



Under the current law, assaulting a driver while driving is punishable by aggravation.

General assault is punishable by imprisonment for not more than two years or a fine of not more than 5 million won.
