Considering that the life expectancy of Koreans as of 2020 is 83.5 years, this is 40% of the lifespan.


South Korea is not the only country that spends a lot of time on the Internet.



The country that spends the most time online in the world is Brazil, spending 41 years on the Internet. 



In Asia, Taiwan has been spending the longest time on the Internet after 33 years and Singapore for 27 years.



Looking at the Internet life of Koreans on a weekly basis, an average of 51 hours per week were spent online, of which 18 hours were spent on work and 33 hours on other online activities.



In online activities outside of work, the longest time was spent watching videos, and 20 hours were devoted to watching YouTube and watching videos through online video services (OTT). 



Other than that, it was found that they spend more than 4 hours online shopping and social media, and 3 hours 23 minutes playing games.



More than 41% of Korean respondents surveyed said that they do most of their hobbies through the Internet, and 44% said 'I can't imagine a world without the Internet'.
