A gang who stole hundreds of millions of won by tricking a minor into giving them a loan if they took a picture of their parents' ID and sent it to a minor has been sentenced to prison.

Jang was handed over to trial on charges of conspiring with Choi and other gangs to steal 130 million won from teenage victims in the same way.



Choi and others are well-known on Facebook by the pseudonym 'Kim Wang-gwan', and after posting an advertisement on the account that they would lend a loan to minors, if teenage victims ask for a loan, they receive a loan using their parents' personal information. They were found to have extorted money by having victims prepare their parents' cell phones and ID cards, then installing a remote-controlled application on the parents' phones, canceling insurance or issuing a negative bank account.



In addition, it is known that about 150 million won was remitted to an illegal internet gambling account by using the program to get a non-face-to-face loan in the name of the victims' parents.




The court said, "After deceiving younger people to find out the victim's personal information, he entered it into an information processing device without authority to obtain property benefits," the court said.



Meanwhile, Choi and Jang were already on trial for similar crimes and were sentenced to 6 years in prison and 3 years in prison, respectively, and their sentences were confirmed.
