Change of graphics engine
Indeed, the studio is abandoning the REDengine graphics engine in favor of Unreal Engine 5 thanks to a partnership with Epic Games, its creator.
The agreement "covers not only the licenses, but also the technical development of Unreal Engine 5 as well as possible future versions of Unreal Engine," a statement on the license's website reads.
Launched in 2020, Unreal Engine 5 immediately won over gamers for its graphic quality very suitable for open world mode.
Future
The Witcher
games will be available on various online stores as well as on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X at a minimum.
However, it may be necessary to wait a few years before being able to get our hands on the new opus.
