China News Service, Taiyuan, March 19 (Liu Xiaohong) The Shanxi Insurance Industry Association announced that from March 19, the advance renewal period of motor vehicle insurance in Shanxi Province will be adjusted from 90 days to 45 days.

Shortening the insurance renewal period in advance can safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of insurance consumers and regulate the sales behavior of the auto insurance market.

It is understood that shortening the insurance renewal period in advance can not only reduce the disputes between customers and the company caused by the late payment of vehicle and vessel tax due to the renewal of insurance by car owners over the next year, but also reduce the dissatisfaction of car owners caused by excessive contact with the insurance company's e-sales customer service.

When the car owner renews the insurance in advance but the car insurance policy of the previous year has not yet expired, if the customer has an accident during this period, the impact of the number of trips on the premium will be reflected in the next payment of the car insurance premium.

Some car owners do not understand this, and it is easy to cause disputes.

Shortening the early renewal period can make the signing time closer to the insurance period, thereby reducing the occurrence of such disputes.

After shortening the early renewal period, it can reduce the confusion and incomprehension of car owners caused by the dynamic adjustment of auto insurance quotations by insurance companies, and it can also reduce the situation that insurance companies occupy customer funds due to early collection of auto insurance premiums, and further protect the legitimate rights and interests of insurance consumers.

The Shanxi Insurance Industry Association emphasized that shortening the advance renewal cycle is only an adjustment to the time when customers pay premiums in advance, and has no impact on auto insurance prices.
