On February 12, <Newsstory> aired <Fate Changed by Vaccine>, it caused a great sensation by highlighting the stories of people who suffered from adverse reactions after being vaccinated against COVID-19 and those who were in the blind spot of vaccines. .

As reports flooded in and demand for follow-up broadcasts increased, <News Story> produced <Fate Changed by Vaccine II>.

26-year-old Jun-ha Jang, graduating from college and discharged as an officer in the Marine Corps.

His life changed forever after receiving the second dose of Pfizer's vaccine in October of last year.

The day after the inoculation, he collapsed from brain hemorrhage and was rushed to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

His youth and strength miraculously saved his life, but he became unable to even go to the bathroom without the help of his parents, and became slurred, making it difficult to communicate normally.

However, the government did not acknowledge the causality of the vaccine and the cerebral hemorrhage.

Even the doctor in charge who performed Jang's operation could not accept the government's judgment and conveyed to the health authorities that it could only be viewed as an abnormal reaction following the vaccination.

Kim Won-young, a 26-year-old postman, died of acute myocarditis eight months ago, three days after the second vaccination.

Kim, who majored in taekwondo at university and even trained as a taekwondo instructor before becoming a postman, had no problems at all in the health checkup she received a month before the inoculation.

The National Institute of Forensic Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the National Forensic Service), which conducted the autopsy, also determined that it was 'myocarditis that occurred after the corona vaccination'.

However, four months later, the government concluded that causality with the vaccine was not recognized.

On the 14th, the government belatedly announced that it would additionally acknowledge the causality of vaccines and myocarditis.

However, the COVID-19 vaccination damage compensation expert committee, which evaluates the causality of vaccines and adverse reactions, is still being conducted privately, so victims cannot know who will participate in the review and what process to make a conclusion.

If the government is dissatisfied with the decision, the victim must prove causality through a lawsuit, which is virtually impossible.

As of the 6th, out of the 1,447 reported deaths from the corona vaccine, only two cases were recognized as having a causal relationship with the vaccine.

This week's SBS <News Story> aims to diagnose the problems in the evaluation of the causal relationship between vaccines and adverse reactions, and to focus on the stories of people who live their lives changed after vaccination.
