Over 320 vehicles and 1,200 manpower worked on the ground overnight, and from 6:40 a little earlier, 81 helicopters and 3,500 firefighters are being intensively deployed.



The forest authorities predicted that there would be no major difficulties in the evolution as a gentle north wind blew today (11th).



In particular, we are focusing our efforts on defending the area of ​​Sogwang-ri, Uljin-gun, where the hundreds of years-old Geumgangsong colony is located.



In addition, Eungbongsan Mountain, which is 999m above sea level, has a wide range of fire and the momentum is strong.



Authorities plan to mobilize all resources to raise the evolution rate, and catch the main fire within this week.



So far, the area of ​​forest damage has reached close to 20,000 hectares, and more than 340 houses have been burned.



The government plans to provide free temporary housing to victims of Uljin, Samcheok, and Donghae, Gangneung, declared special disaster areas, and reduce health insurance premiums, as well as various utility bills such as telecommunication and electricity bills.
