▲ On the afternoon of the 9th, a forest fire occurred in Yasan, Cheongok-dong, Buk-gu, Ulsan.
Today (10th) at around 8:20 pm, the forest fire that occurred in the hills in Cheongok-dong, Buk-gu, Ulsan-si, was extinguished in about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The forestry authorities responded by mobilizing about 170 personnel, including firefighters and special firefighting teams, and 20 equipment such as fire fighting vehicles.
The Ulsan Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire while building a defense line to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding area at the 9th ridge of the mountain.
The fire was completely extinguished around 10:50 that same night.
The fire was located in the border area between Ulsan and Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, 300-400m away from the Gyeongju Oedong 2 General Industrial Complex in a straight line.
The Korea Forest Service plans to invest an investigation team to investigate the damage area and the cause of the fire.
