It was confirmed that voters who completed the early voting for the 20th presidential election received their ballot papers at the main polling station today (9th), the day of the election.

According to the Gangwon-do Election Commission and the police, resident A in his 60s presented his ID and received a ballot paper at the 3rd polling place in Soyang-dong, Chuncheon, located at Chuncheon Jungang Elementary School at 10:30 am today.

Person A then protested, "Does it make sense to give another ballot to the voters who voted in advance?" while revealing that he had already voted in advance as a member of the election fraud monitoring unit under former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn without voting.

Mr. A's argument is that even though he was an early voter, he presented his resident registration card at this polling place and the voting clerk gave the ballot without checking properly.

It is known that Mr. A visited the polling place today with his wife who did not vote in advance, tried the main vote to check whether the election was controversial during the early voting, and even received an actual ballot.

In response, the Chuncheon City Election Commission said that Mr. A's act violated two provisions of the Public Official Election Act, Article 163 (restriction of access to polling places, etc.) and Article 248 (sin-in-law voting), and reported it to the Chuncheon Police Station.

The Election Commission explains that Mr. A, an electorate who has already voted in advance, is charged with attempting to return to the polling place on the day of the election even though he cannot enter the polling place.

An official from the Chuncheon Election Commission said, "The act of trying to vote again even after early voting is an obvious election crime that disturbs the election order."

The police plan to investigate based on the complaint letter from Mr. A and the National Election Commission, who claimed that 'I thought it was the scene of an election fraud and reported it to 112'.

Earlier, on the 4th, the first day of advance voting in Gangwon-do, the Gangwon-do Election Commission replaced them with plastic gloves after receiving protests from the People's Power while watching the elections while wearing blue gloves reminiscent of a specific political party.

Also, on the last day of early voting, on the 5th, there was a rain of protests when the voting clerk put the ballot papers that were marked at the early voting site for the corona 19 confirmed and quarantined people instead of the ballot box.
