• Apple Event The new iPhone 13 promise to record like a film camera

Apple's cheapest iPhone will now have support for

5G networks

.

The company has announced it at its first event of the year, an event in which it has also shown a new

iPad Air

, but which has been featured, above all, by a very powerful new processor that the company will focus on the professional market, the

M1 Ultra

.

iPhone SE

In the coming weeks, the company will put three new iPhones on sale.

The first two are just a green variation of the

iPhone 13 and 13 Pro

that have already been on sale since the end of last year.

The third, however, is a more ambitious bet.

It is a new version of its cheapest iPhone, the

iPhone SE

, which will now have a 5G connection and the same processor as the iPhone 13 Pro, the

A15 Bionic

.

This makes it the most powerful phone in its price range.

The mobile

will cost 529 euros

if the configuration with 64 GB of memory is chosen.

The rest of the features are obviously lower than those of the rest of the iPhones on the market.

The screen is 4.7 inches, for example, and lacks the FaceID

biometric identification system

.

It still uses the hidden TouchID

fingerprint reader

in the home button instead.

The 12-megapixel camera has portrait mode,

HDR

, and the

Deep Fusion

feature , which adds sharpness to the image.

Apple also ensures that the iPhone SE has the hardest glass on the market both on the screen and on the back, the same one used in the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro.

iPad Air

The other product that also gains 5G connectivity is the new

iPad Air

.

It is a version of the tablet that integrates the

M1 processor

that Apple until now reserved for

Macs

and

iPad Pros.

Thanks to it, the new iPad Air is 60% faster than the previous model and twice as powerful in graphics performance.

The new tablet also has an improved front camera, with 12 megapixel resolution and support for Center Framing, which is an automatic framing technology that centers the speaker and adapts if more participants join a video call.

The iPad Air will continue to use, as in the previous model, the TouchID

fingerprint identification system

integrated into the power button, and is compatible with the

Magic Keyboard

and the second-generation

Apple Pencil

digital pencil .

The iPad Air will be available from March 18 at a price of 679 euros for the WiFi version and 849 euros for the 5G version.

Mac Studio and Studio Display

The big surprise of the event, however, was the announcement of a new processor for Mac computers, the

M1 Ultra

, in addition to the already presented

M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max

.

The processor actually hides two M1 Max working in parallel connected to a proprietary system with a bandwidth of 2.5 TB/s.

This gives the M1 Ultra a processing capacity, both in general computation and in graphic processing, absolutely devastating.

With 114 billion transistors, it is the most advanced chip that can be put into a personal computer.

Apple claims that its graphics power exceeds that of the most powerful dedicated graphics card,

Nvidia's RTX 3090

, and it does so while consuming a fraction of the power that Nvidia's card would need.

Thanks to the simultaneous use of two M1 Max, the new Apple chip can be configured with

up to 128 GB of RAM

(the memory is integrated into the chip itself and shared by both the CPU and the GPU).

It has 20 cores, 16 high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores.

At the same power consumption, it delivers 90% higher performance than the fastest 16-core desktop PC chip currently available.

Apple's first Mac to use it will be the

Mac Studio

, a compact desktop that occupies a footprint similar to that of the

Mac Mini

, albeit considerably thicker at 9.4cm.

Tall.

The Mac Studio can be configured with either M1 Max or M1 Ultra chips and is intended primarily for professional users, especially in the creative sector.

You will be able to connect with up to 4 external 6K resolution displays and work with up to 18

simultaneous

ProRes 422 8K video streams.

The team also has more ports than Apple is used to putting.

On the rear, there are

four Thunderbolt 4 ports

for connecting high-performance monitors and devices, a

10Gb

Ethernet port ,

two USB-A ports

, an

HDMI port

, and a professional audio jack for high-impedance headphones or external powered speakers. .

On the front there are two USB-C ports, which with the M1 Max chip support USB 3 at 10 Gb/s and with the M1 Ultra chip they support

Thunderbolt 4

at 40 Gb/s.

There is also an SD card slot.

The machine has sixth generation Wi-Fi and

Bluetooth 5.0

.

To complement it, Apple has also put on sale a new 27-inch monitor with 5K resolution.

This is the Studio Display, made of aluminum and with a 12-megapixel webcam and

Centered Framing

.

The monitor includes three microphones and six high-quality speakers.

It can be configured with a height-adjustable

stand, VESA mount

and various anti-glare finishes, although these options add to the cost.

And it is that these teams are not exactly cheap.

Focused on the most demanding public, the Mac Studio starts at

2,329 euros

for the model with M1 Max and the Studio Display at

1,779 euros

.

Both will be available from March 18 and can be reserved from today.
