According to the forestry authorities on the 7th, a forest fire occurred in Hwaseongdae-ri, Naechon-myeon, Hongcheon-gun around 6:53 the evening of the previous day and was extinguished in about 30 minutes.
200 m2 of forest was lost in this fire.
As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that the fire spread to the mountain while resident A (60) was incinerating the garbage.
The Forest Special Judicial Police has arrested Mr. A and is investigating the exact circumstances.
According to the Forest Protection Act, if a forest fire is caused by mistake, imprisonment for not more than 3 years or a fine not exceeding 30 million won.
Meanwhile, the area damaged by the forest fire in Gangwon was 4,000 hectares in Gangneung and Donghae, 400 hectares in Samcheok, and 80 hectares in Yeongwol. It is 6,274 times.
According to Gangwon-do, 34 farms in Gangneung, Donghae, and Samcheok suffered a total of 234.57 million won in damage due to this forest fire.
The province plans to receive damage from farms and investigate as soon as the fire is extinguished.
