As COVID-19 continues for a long time, several related studies are emerging.

Research results proving a causal relationship between COVID-19 and blood type have been published.

Recently, a joint research team, including the UK National Institutes of Health and the University of Cambridge, analyzed more than 3,000 blood proteins to find proteins correlated with COVID-19.

As a result, we identified 6 proteins that cause severe seriousness or death from COVID-19 and 8 proteins that protect against severe cases or death from COVID-19.

In particular, the protein that determines the blood type was included among the proteins that cause gastritis or death.

According to the research team, the chance of severe COVID-19 or death from type O is relatively lower than that of other blood types.

In early 2020, a study was published in Wuhan, China, showing that type A had the highest number of COVID-19 patients.

On the other hand, in July 2021, a large-scale clinical trial of more than 100,000 people in the United States found no evidence that the severity of COVID-19 varies depending on blood type.
