Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleva said on the 6th (local time) that about 20,000 foreign volunteers have come to Ukraine to participate in the battle against Russian forces.

"The number of these [foreign volunteers] is currently around 20,000," Kuleva said in an interview with CNN.

"Many people around the world hated Russia and what had happened in recent years, but no one dared openly protest or fight them," he said.

"So people see Ukrainians fight and don't give up, and a lot of people feel motivated to go to war," he added.

In spite of this reality, Minister Kuleva said that the most important thing is 'sustainable political, economic and military support' from around the world, and emphasized that "the leadership of the United States with a particular focus on air defense is needed."

With foreign intentions to participate one after another, Ukraine has also been actively appealing for the participation of volunteers.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the 26th of last month, "Those who want to participate in the protection of Ukraine, come to Ukraine. Everyone who protects Ukraine is a hero." There is a bar.

However, there is a lot of controversy over whether it is appropriate to engage in foreign wars without government permission.

Some countries, such as Denmark, have allowed their citizens to lift weapons in Ukraine, while others consider it a violation of the positive law to participate in the Ukraine war.

In the case of Korea, the travel warning level 4, which is a travel ban for all regions of Ukraine, has been issued, so you may be punished if you visit.

The Japanese government has also made a statement to its citizens not to participate as volunteers.

Opinions are divided even in the UK, where many of its citizens have already left for Ukraine.

British Foreign Minister Liz Truss said: "I support the British who have decided to go to Ukraine to fight the Russians."

But Defense Secretary Ben Wallace objected, saying, "There are other ways to help Ukraine."
