As a forest fire from Okgye, Gangneung, spread to the East Sea, about 15 km of the Donghae Expressway was completely controlled.
According to the Gangwon Police Agency Highway Patrol, the 14.9km section from the Okgye Interchange on the Donghae Expressway to the Donghae Interchange was put under full control from 8 am on the 5th.
Police and road authorities are diverting vehicles trying to pass through the surrounding national road.

At around 1:20 am today, a fire from a house in Namyang-ri, Okgye-myeon, Gangneung-si, moved to a nearby mountain, and the fire is spreading in the direction of Mangsang and Balhan-dong in the East Sea with strong winds.
