Foreign nationals who have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 10 to 40 days prior to departure will no longer have to submit a negative PCR (gene amplification) test upon entry from the 7th.

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters (Bangdaebon) announced today (4th) that it will adjust the subject of exceptions to the submission of voice confirmations in this way.

Accordingly, Korean nationals who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 10 to 40 days prior to the departure date and have already been released from quarantine do not need to submit a negative confirmation letter if they submit data confirming the exact date of confirmation upon arrival.

Evidence of the date of confirmation includes quarantine notices and quarantine release certificates issued by domestic and foreign countries.

In addition, from yesterday, those who have completed the Corona 19 vaccine in Korea or abroad can use public transportation after entering the country.

Those who have completed the vaccination are those who have received the 3rd dose or 14 to 180 days have passed since the 2nd dose (1st dose for Janssen vaccinated people).

Quarantine authorities have been concerned about the influx and spread of Omicron mutations, and since January 20, they have restricted the use of public transportation for inbound travelers and have forced them to use their own cars, quarantine buses, and quarantine taxis.
