Today (2nd), the number of new corona cases is expected to record another record.

As of 9 o'clock last night, it has already surpassed 200,000 people.

Amid the rapidly increasing number of deaths and severe cases, it was also predicted that up to 350,000 patients could emerge by the end of this month.

As of 9pm last night, the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 was 204,960.

This is an increase of 71,43 people from the same time period the previous day.

The highest number of new confirmed cases per day so far was 171,451 on the 23rd of last month, but the count by 9pm alone exceeded that.

The quarantine authorities anticipate that the number of new confirmed cases will peak around the beginning or middle of this month at a maximum of 350,000.

However, the quarantine authorities exempted the self-quarantine measures for families living with the confirmed person from yesterday due to the burden of medical personnel.

PCR tests have also been turned into recommendations, so there is no 'penalty for violations'.

Screening clinic PCR tests for families living with confirmed cases will continue to be conducted free of charge.

Even if you are already in quarantine, you can go out of the house as the quarantine was lifted from yesterday.

However, COVID-19 confirmed cases, overseas travelers, and close contacts in facilities susceptible to infection must still self-quarantine for a week.

Schools, where the new semester begins, switch to their own quarantine system.

Until the 13th, students and faculty and staff will be suspended from school for 7 days for those who are not vaccinated when a person living with them is confirmed.

If you are unable to attend school due to confirmed cases, quarantine, or suspected symptoms, you will be treated as absenteeism if you show the text message from the quarantine authorities or the confirmation letter to the homeroom teacher.

The procedure for showing QR codes or quarantine passes at 11 multi-use facilities such as restaurants has also been suspended indefinitely since yesterday.
