The work to extinguish the Hapcheon wildfire that has spread to Goryeong, North Gyeongsang Province, resumed in earnest as the sun rose.

The forest authorities have been flying 47 helicopters sequentially since this morning, and about 2,000 firefighters are also working to extinguish the fire.

As the mobilization order fell, 125 equipment such as pump cars and water tank cars supported by five cities and provinces, including Daegu and Ulsan, were also put in.

A fire line was built to prevent the fire from spreading to the private house overnight, but it has been confirmed that there have been no casualties from the wildfire so far.

Hundreds of residents of Yulgok-myeon, Hapcheon-gun and Ssangrim-myeon, Goryeong-gun, also evacuated to nearby village halls and elementary schools.

It is estimated that about 600 ha of forest fields have been damaged so far.

That's equivalent to 850 football fields, and it's the biggest fire so far this year.

The length of the entire caustic vessel is also long, about 5 km, so it is difficult to evolve.

Forest authorities have established a policy of catching fire in the morning and are working to extinguish the fire.

The fire started around 2:20 p.m. yesterday, but it has not been put out for more than 20 hours.
