Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom said today (27th) in relation to the Corona 19 response, "Compared to other countries that have suffered crises, our current situation is clearly at a manageable level."

In a post on Facebook on the same day, Prime Minister Kim said, "Currently, key quarantine indicators such as the number of seriously ill patients, the number of deaths, and the bed utilization rate are being maintained relatively stable in our country."

In some countries, essential functions of society such as security, firefighting, military, and education were paralyzed due to the spread of Omicron, but in Korea, there has been no such confusion despite the recent surge in the number of confirmed cases.

Prime Minister Kim explained, "Compared to the peak of the delta mutation at the end of last year, the average daily number of confirmed cases has increased 17 times, but the number of critically ill patients is rather small, and the utilization rate of critically ill beds is maintained at around 40%."

"The number of deaths also shows a big difference from other countries," he said. "As of the 21st, the cumulative number of deaths per 1 million in Korea was 143, which is 20 compared to the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, which have more than 2,000, and Germany and Israel, which have more than 1,000. One-tenth, one-tenth,” he added.

Prime Minister Kim emphasized, "I can boldly say that we are responding the most properly to all the corona situations so far."
