Today (26th) around 3:15 PM, a fire broke out in the mountain behind Pyeongcheon-ri, Mungyeong-eup, Mungyeong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and is spreading with strong winds.
At 4:50 pm, the forestry authorities issued the first stage of the wildfire, which mobilizes all firefighting equipment and manpower, and 15 helicopters and 77 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire.
An official from the Korea Forest Service said, "The fire is spreading in the direction of the Galpyeong branch of the Mungyeong-eup office with strong winds from the northwest.
