A cafe owner discovered that a customer was being deceived by a gang of voice phishing gangs, and used his wits to prevent the damage.

On the 18th of last month, a customer holding something in the hand of a cafe in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do was restless and pacing.

He was not even wearing shoes, only socks, but the owner of the cafe, who found it strange, approached him and talked to him, and a customer on the phone showed him a cash envelope he was holding in his hand.

The cafe owner, who had experienced similar damage in the past, had a gut feeling about voice phishing and handed me notes saying, 'Tell me to come here to collect money', and 'I will go out and tell you to send a plainclothes policeman' without being heard by the caller.

When the cash collection book appeared before the police arrived, it took time by asking for QR code registration and introducing the menu.

With the help of the cafe owner, the police were able to arrest the collection book on the spot. The Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency judged that the cafe owner was a great help in preventing crime, so it was selected as 'Phishing Keeper No. 1' and awarded a citation and report compensation.
