Daegu District Court partially cited the application for suspension of the quarantine pass that 309 Daegu citizens, including Professor Jo Doo-hyung of Yeungnam University Medical School, filed against the mayor of Daegu.

On the 18th, Daegu City announced that restaurants and cafes were included as compulsory quarantine pass facilities.

The court said that it is difficult to see that the suspension of the quarantine pass could have a significant impact on public welfare, saying that it is recognized that there is an urgent need to prevent damage to applicants due to the expansion of the application target of the quarantine pass in Daegu.

In particular, in the case of adolescents, the severity of infection due to infection is very low and there are few deaths, so it is difficult to see that there is a reasonable basis for applying the quarantine pass.

At the same time, uniform control over the use of restaurants and cafes, which are essential facilities, may be too restrictive. said.

It is the second time that quarantine authorities have stopped taking measures after Seoul, and in particular, it is the first time in the country to suspend quarantine passes for citizens under the age of 60.

Accordingly, Daegu citizens under the age of 60 can use restaurants and cafes without a quarantine pass, and teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18 can access all facilities.

The court's decision is limited to Daegu facilities as it is a decision for the Daegu city notification.
