At around 8:50 last night, a fire broke out on the 15th floor of a 19-story mixed-use apartment in Nowon-gu, Seoul.



The fire was extinguished in about 30 minutes, but a male resident in his 40s was found dead inside the house.



The fire department plans to conduct a joint investigation today to investigate the exact cause of the fire.

Smoke leaks over the building, and an explosion is heard.



At around 11 o'clock last night, a fire broke out in a three-story multi-family house in Yangji-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do.



The fire continued for an hour and twenty minutes, and nine people were taken to hospital after inhaling smoke in the process.

A fire broke out on a hill in Beopjeon-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, at around 8:20 pm yesterday evening.



The forestry authorities put 80 firefighters in and put out the fire in about 1 hour and 10 minutes.



A private house was nearby, but no one was injured, and 0.2 ha of forest was burned.



The fire department believes that the fire started because a hot water heater used in a nearby house overheated.



The Central Forest Fire Prevention Countermeasures Headquarters urged people to refrain from handling fire in areas adjacent to forests, as a momentary mistake can lead to a large forest fire in dry weather in winter.
