The police closed an internal investigation into the death of Kim Moon-ki, the first development director of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, who was found dead at the end of last year after taking charge of the head of the department in charge of the Daejang-dong development case.

The Gyeonggi Bundang Police Station received an autopsy result from the National Forensic Research Institute earlier this month stating that it was “presumed to be asphyxiation by hanging” related to the death of Director Kim.

Based on the results of the autopsy and the investigation of the deceased's whereabouts, the police concluded that there was no suspicion of murder and closed the case.

Earlier, Director Kim was found dead in the office on the first floor of the Seongnam-do Gaeonggong office building on December 21, last year, around 8:30 pm.
