After the controversy over the process of hanbok at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the atmosphere of keeping hanbok is spreading among Hallyu stars.

Actress Park Shin-hye recently posted a picture of her wearing her hanbok on her social media account, saying, 'I thought she wore it casually during the filming, but she's nice to wear it again'.

She even put 'hanbok' and 'Korean traditional clothes' as hashtags.

Earlier, BTS' Suga also posted a picture of herself wearing a black dragon robe on social media, and Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon also posted several pictures of her wearing hanbok with the caption, 'Korean hanbok is beautiful'.

With this movement of Hallyu stars, interest in hanbok is also growing.

According to Google Trends, which shows the trend of Internet searches, as of the afternoon of the 20th, the global keyword 'hanbok' recorded the highest number in the past year.

That's almost double what it was at the end of January, before the start of the Beijing Games.

Some Chinese netizens are frowned upon by pouring malicious comments on Hallyu stars who posted posts in Hanbok.
