A mobile app has been informing the inhabitants of Antony (Hauts-de-Seine) live since January about the air quality in their city.

For this, the municipality has set up 16 sensors distributed throughout its territory.

The devices send geographically precise information to the digital portal allowing users to adapt their behavior to pollution, explains Actu Hauts-de-Seine.

Pollution, noise and pollens

In any case, this is the objective sought with this device, indicated the municipal councilor responsible for hygiene, health and science Ioannis Vouldoukis.

Antony intends to develop the system by soon adding four new boxes positioned on parking meters.

These detectors intended to analyze the differences in pollution according to the height will also measure the sound level.

In addition to the concentration in the air of fine particles, nitrogen dioxide and ammonia, the municipality is studying the impact of the latter on soils and aquatic animals.

Devices analyzing pollen will also soon be able to alert residents of the imminence of an allergenic episode.
