Eco-friendly consumption culture to reduce packaging materials is spreading these days, and onion nets will disappear from some large marts for a week from today (17th).

Recently, as the number of single-person households has increased, more and more consumers are willing to buy one or two onions individually, but most supermarkets sell them in a net.

Even in farms with insufficient labor, it is not a small burden to put onions in a net one by one.

In response, the government is conducting a demonstration event for selling onion unpackaged and individually from today at 5 large supermarkets and 96 stores across the country.

During this period, they are only sold individually, and it is estimated that this will reduce about 115,000 onion net waste that contains 1.5 kg based on 173 tons of onion.

Onions sold individually can be purchased at a 20% discount with a coupon for agricultural and livestock products.
