This is how mobile apps steal data from smartphones

Spy applications can steal personal information from the user's smartphone such as correspondence, photos, contacts and banking data.

Trojans that can be useful to users often ask for permission to access and manage different functions and files on the phone, explained Tatiana Linova, an analyst at Angara Security Operations Monitoring Group.

A flashlight, a photo editor, a calorie counting app, etc. can be a dangerous app, according to what “mir24” and “Sputnik” reported.

The expert recommends downloading applications from official stores such as Google Play, using antiviruses to detect malicious activity in a timely manner and keeping the operating system version up-to-date.

This will prevent spyware from entering the device and exploiting vulnerabilities.
