As of 9 pm last night, there were 85,114 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in 17 cities and provinces across the country.



When counting ends at midnight, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced today is expected to reach 90,000.



It is the highest number ever, exceeding the 50,000 new confirmed cases maintained for six days from the 10th.



The government had predicted that by the end of this month, the number of new infections per day could rise from 130,000 to a maximum of 170,000.



The number of confirmed cases in home treatment counted the previous day was about 245,000, of which 56,000 were newly treated, and this number is also expected to increase significantly.



The quarantine authorities said that the number of medical institutions in charge of intensive care groups, such as those aged 60 or older, increased to 676 among at-home treatment patients, and they have the capacity to manage up to 200,000 people, and the utilization rate of critically ill beds is still stable at 26.8%.



In addition, 72% of critically ill patients 12 years of age or older and 66.5% of deaths occurred in the past 8 weeks as unvaccinated or incomplete.
