During the Korean War, he resumed his studies, which he stopped while enlisting as a student soldier, at the age of eighty.

Lee Joo-hyeong, an 89-year-old grandfather who stopped studying while enlisting as a student soldier on June 25.



He decided to study by transferring to the third year of university two years ago to fill the regret that he had to stop studying due to the war.

I missed the opportunity to study because I enlisted and served in the military.]



Accessing online classes for 7 subjects per semester was a war, and it was difficult to submit assignments on the computer.



The glaucoma worsened due to a catastrophe, and my field of vision was narrowed and uncomfortable, but I overcame all of this with the joy of studying.

My daughter helped me write reports and create assignments.]



Even if I went to work, I didn't miss remote classes and didn't put my books down.

Communicating and meeting with classmates who are like grandchildren also made my heart younger.

At the age of 89, it is the first time in the country to graduate from a university major.



The grandfather, who received the university's senior diploma, plans to continue the challenge by volunteering to share what he has learned in the future.
