This morning, a large explosion occurred at a petrochemical manufacturing plant in Yeosu National Industrial Complex, Jeollanam-do, killing 4 people and injuring 4 others.

At 9:18 am today, there was an explosion at Yeocheon NCC, a petrochemical manufacturing plant of the Yeosu National Industrial Complex.




Four people were killed in the accident: 59-year-old Mo Ha from Yeocheon NCC, 32-year-old Lee from a partner company, 40-year-old Mo Shin, and 43-year-old Mo Park, who were working at the site.



Four workers from the subcontractor, including 32-year-old Mo Kim, suffered major and minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

Today's explosion occurred during a test to increase the internal pressure of the heat exchanger.



It is believed that a large iron cover that could not withstand the air pressure in the tank was thrown off and hit the workers.
