In this accident, 4 employees of Woncheong and its subcontractors were killed and 4 others were seriously injured.
At the time of the explosion, CCTV footage of the inside of the factory was obtained exclusively, and the moment of the devastating explosion was captured, such as the CCTV shaking violently as if there was an earthquake and immediately followed by a huge vibration and a sand storm.
It is presumed that the accident occurred during the test process to increase the internal pressure of the heat exchanger, but the police and fire departments are seeing that the large iron cover weighing about 1 ton bounced off and hit the workers because it could not withstand the air pressure inside the tank.
Two months after the Iil Industrial explosion that took the lives of three workers at the Yeosu Industrial Complex, another similar explosion occurred, killing workers.
