A male teacher teaching Korean at a coeducational middle school was teaching online while wearing only a top, and the police launched an investigation after exposing parts of his body to students.

Gyeonggi Seongnam Sujeong Police Station announced today (9th) that a middle school Korean teacher in his 40s, who exposed parts of his body several times during online classes, was charged with violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes.

Mr. A is accused of exposing his body parts to his camera while conducting an online class in the third grade of middle school in July of last year.

At that time, he was not wearing anything on his lower body, and it was confirmed that not only male students but also female students participated in the class.

Two months later, Mr. A was reported to have taken off his pants and attended class with only underwear on.

The students in class filmed the scene and reported it to the outside, and the school reported it to the police at the end of September after complaints from parents continued.

During the police investigation, Mr. A is known to have explained, "Due to the nature of the online class, only the upper body is filmed, so I wear bottoms to work comfortably. A part of the body was accidentally filmed in the process of adjusting the camera."

The Seongnam Office of Education released Mr. A's position as a teacher after the police investigation began.

After that, we plan to take additional measures such as disciplinary action based on the results of the investigation.
