In connection with the recent fire that occurred in an apartment in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, where a woman in her 20s died, this woman burned a candle for the 'exorcism ceremony' on the same day. A family member's statement that it was turned on and the police are investigating.



According to the Sosa Police Station in Bucheon on the 9th, the father of a woman in her 20s, who died in a fire on the first floor of an apartment in Songnae-dong, Bucheon-si, on the 7th, told the police, "On the day of the fire, my daughter said, 'I will chase ghosts,' and put a candle in his room. was turned on," he said.



As a result of the police investigation, it was confirmed that Mr. A, who died, had been suffering from schizophrenia for three years, and that she had often lit a candle for the reason of her exorcism.




On the day of the fire, there were only two women in the house, and the father of Mr. A saw smoke leaking through the gap between his daughter's door and called 911.



A's father said, "I was in the living room at the time, and smoke came from my daughter's visit, and I kicked the locked door."



The police and fire department have completed two on-site inspections, and based on the statements, they believe that the first fire broke out in Mr. A's room and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.



A police official said, "It is said that there has never been a fire with the candle that Mr. A had lit before," said a police officer.



Earlier, at around 4:06 pm on the 7th, a fire broke out on the first floor of a five-story apartment building in Songnae-dong, Bucheon, and was extinguished in 25 minutes.



In the fire, Mr. A was found dead in his room, and 11 other residents inhaled the smoke and were taken to a nearby hospital.
