A man in his 30s who was working as a patient protector at a hospital was arrested on charges of committing a sexual offense against a teenage patient who was hospitalized.

It was investigated that the man lured the victim out of the hospital and continued the crime after that.

is a psychiatric hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do.

On August 28 last year, a report was received by the police that a teenage patient A, who was admitted to the closed ward of this hospital, stole the access card key and fled.

About a month later, on September 24, the police found Miss A who was staying in a villa in Incheon.

The police, who were skeptical that Miss A, who had no financial power, found a place to live, paid attention to Mr. Kim, 38, who was working as a guardian when Miss A was admitted to the hospital.

Kim left the hospital by herself a few days after Ms. A escaped, and the police investigation revealed that she committed several sex crimes by having Ms. A stay in a motel and a house where she pays the rent.

In the police investigation, Miss A stated that the same thing happened to Kim several times even in the hospital.

As a result of the police investigation, Kim also had a criminal history, such as theft.

However, the hospital said it did not know anything.

Mr. Kim has been working as a patient protector at this hospital since February of last year, and he did not even have basic verification such as receiving a criminal history inquiry when hiring.

[Hospital official: If you do something like that (criminal history inquiry) and ask to come, you won't go to that hospital.

Other hospitals don't, so why only that hospital?

It might be.

It is very difficult to find a staff member.

Honestly.]

The police arrested Kim on charges of committing a sex crime against minors and handed over the case to the prosecution on the 26th of last month.
