“The Soyuz-2.1a medium-class launch vehicle at the scheduled time successfully launched a spacecraft into the calculated orbit in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense,” the department noted.

Earlier it was reported that the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the spacecraft of the Russian Defense Ministry successfully launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome.

Later it became known that the upper stage "Fregat" with the satellite was regularly separated from the Soyuz-2.1a rocket.
