A 31-year-old man was shot and killed Friday evening in a city north of Marseille.

The victim was found at the entrance of a residence and succumbed to his injuries despite the intervention of the emergency services.

He was known to the police.

Around 11:15 p.m., detonations were heard in the street in the Notre-Dame-Limit district (15th arrondissement).

When the police arrived, an unconscious man, seriously injured by a bullet, was found at the entrance of a residence.

He died on the spot despite the intervention of the emergency services.

Wednesday evening, in another district in the north of the city, an 18-year-old young man was killed by a burst of automatic weapons fired from a car which immediately fled.

A 17-year-old minor who accompanied him had also been injured in the leg.

In 2021, 15 people were killed in settling of scores related to drug trafficking, according to a count by the Marseille police headquarters, compared to 12 in 2020 and 10 in 2019.
