Yesterday (4th), there were 36,362 new confirmed cases of Corona 19.
With the rapid spread of Omicron mutations, the number exceeded 30,000 for the first time since the outbreak of Corona 19 in Korea.
Excluding 200 imported from overseas, 36,162 are domestically infected patients.
In the metropolitan area alone, including 8,564 in Seoul and 1419 in Gyeonggi, there were 21,477 cases, or 60% of the total.
The number of patients with severe gastritis, which has shown a steady decline, is 269, an increase of 12 from the previous day.
The death toll has also increased by 22, and so far 6,858 people have lost their lives to COVID-19.
Yesterday, about 350,000 people received the third dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and the third dose rate is 54.5%.
