Former lawmaker Kwak Sang-do, who is accused of helping the development project in Daejang-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do and taking bribes of billions of won through his son, has been arrested by the prosecution.



After the warrant review, the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant saying "the major crime charges have been clarified and there is a risk of destroying evidence."



Prosecutors charged that former lawmaker Kwak hired his son Kwak Byeong-chae to work for Hwacheon Daeyu in exchange for his influence so that Hana Bank remained in the Hwacheon Daeyu consortium at the request of Kim Man-bae, the major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu. .
