From yesterday (3rd), local hospitals and clinics have been able to receive corona tests and treatment, but it seems that there are still many things that need to be improved.

In some places, the movement lines of the person being tested and the general patient were not separated, and there was confusion over the cost of the examination.

This content was covered by reporter Jeong Da-eun.

is a hospital in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Corona rapid antigen test started a day later than planned.

[Lee Kang-gyun / Director of Pediatrics Clinic (specialist): (Rapid test) Kits are hard to find these days, so I prepared them yesterday afternoon.

After getting ready, we started this afternoon.

I think about 20 people came.]

In this way, the number of local hospitals and clinics that participated in COVID-19 testing and treatment increased to 285.

But there are places that are less prepared.

It is most urgent to separate the movement of patients suspected of Corona and general patients.

[Rep. A: It's starting today, so we're still very clumsy, and we don't have a structured movement line yet...

.]

Many hospitals stopped testing due to a lack of rapid antigen test kits.

There was confusion over the amount of the inspection fee charged, too.

[Lee Soo-bin / Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City: I did a rapid antigen test and when I tried to calculate it, (asymptomatic person) said that it was 35,000 won, so I was embarrassed and paid.

I heard it was 5,000 won (as announced by the government).]

The government explained that it is correct for asymptomatic testers to pay about 55,000 won including the test fee, but if they have symptoms, they only have to pay the examination fee because health insurance will cover it.

[Lee Ki-il/Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters 1st Controller: (Symptoms) In the case of a clinic, the (examination fee) is 5,000 won, and if it is a hospital, it is 6,500 won.

In the case of other testing costs and other infectious disease prevention/management fees, it is covered by the insurance (free of charge) at the government expense.]

Even if asymptomatic, there is no testing fee at screening clinics or temporary screening centers.
