Yes, I am standing in front of a multi-family house in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul.

If you look at the balcony on the third floor of the building behind me, it is tilted down about 15 degrees as if it will fall off the building at any moment, and you can see that the window frames and windows are also damaged.

Resident reports were received today (24th) around 5:36 pm.

A resident who lived on the third floor reported that the balcony was suddenly tilted and the building was about to collapse.

Immediately after the report, the residents of 6 households in this building and 8 households in the building next door also evacuated immediately.

Evacuated residents moved to nearby lodging facilities in case of possible collapse, but some residents went back to their homes and came out with essential necessities.

When I arrived at the site, I met a local resident who said that the wall of a building with a slanted balcony had also recently collapsed and had cracks.

Currently, firefighters and ward office staff who have been dispatched after receiving the report are in a situation where they understand the situation of the building and control the surroundings.

An accurate safety diagnosis will be possible tomorrow afternoon, a firefighter official explained.

The fire department is preparing for possible collapse by mobilizing 119 vehicles to check the condition of the building in real time.
