The court also ordered A to take a 40-hour child abuse prevention lecture and restricted him from working in child-related organizations for three years.



At 0:20 a.m. on February 4, last year, at her home in Jung-gu, Incheon, Mr. A was charged with abusing his 12-year-old daughter, B, by grabbing her by the hair, knocking her to the floor and slaps on the cheek.



He swung his fists 20 minutes later when police officers who rushed to the scene after receiving a report from his wife that "my husband is assaulting me" tried to arrest him as a current criminal.



One in three police officers who were assaulted suffered serious injuries over six weeks before falling to the floor and breaking a rib.



The court said, "The accused physically abused his daughter, such as hitting the victim's cheek, and also assaulted the police officers who were dispatched after receiving the report."



However, the court explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, "The accused admits to all the crimes and is reflecting, and the victim did not want the accused to be punished by the investigative agency."
