Today, the tenth day of the accident, the search operation started at 7:30 in the morning.

190 personnel and 50 rescue dogs are deployed to search for 5 missing persons.

The night search continued until 9:14 last night, and no traces of the missing were found.

Rescue authorities have installed a forward command post on the 20th floor of the collapsed building and are using drones and endoscope cameras to inspect the inside of the building.

However, when lining up or reinforcing a tower crane that is in danger of collapsing, the search is temporarily suspended for the safety of the crew.

This morning, families of the missing people climbed the roof of the collapsed building to inspect the situation.

In order to conduct a full-scale search of the upper floors of a building, the tilted tower crane must first be dismantled, and work to secure safety before dismantling is ongoing.

Yesterday, we finished the work of connecting 8 wires to the tower crane, and today we are working on stabilizing the pulling of the wire using two 1,200-ton mobile cranes.

We plan to stop the search operation and control the area from 8 am to 6 pm tomorrow, when the dismantling operation is taking place.

[Park Nam-eun/Director of Gwangju City Citizen Safety Office: We will evacuate all workers within the danger radius and cooperate with the police and other relevant organizations to control access by residents, etc.]

After dismantling, a search map of the upper floors of the building and the lower part of the tower crane that were difficult to access It seems to be speeding up.
