The government has decided to include cases of insufficiency of causality among those who have had an adverse reaction after being vaccinated to the exception of the quarantine pass.

Those who received hospitalization for adverse reactions within 6 weeks after vaccination are also exempted.

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters announced today (19th) that it would expand the scope of exceptions to the quarantine pass application for medical reasons.

The medical reasons for which the government has granted exceptions so far are: ▲ In case of a double adverse reaction after vaccination such as anaphylaxis, myocarditis and pericarditis, etc. This is when vaccination is required.

Among those who applied for damage compensation from the 24th, those who were judged to have insufficient causal evidence and those who received hospitalization within 6 weeks of adverse reactions after vaccination will be added.

Subjects who have been determined to have insufficient causality evidence can update their vaccination history through the KCDC app, etc. without a separate procedure or a doctor's certificate, or receive an exception confirmation from a nearby public health center.

In the case of inpatient treatment, the hospitalization confirmation and doctor's diagnosis must be submitted to the nearest public health center for electronic registration.

However, the government said that the recognition of an exception to the quarantine pass does not acknowledge the causality of vaccination and adverse reactions, or imply the need for compensation for damage or a contraindication to vaccination.

The confirmation of exception issued for medical reasons does not have a separate validity period.
