The court acquitted a 40-year-old man who was put on trial for assaulting his wife and father-in-law. It was seen that a just act was established and there was no illegality.

Today (17th), Jeju District Court Detective 3 (Director Kim Yeon-kyung) acquitted A (47), who was handed over to trial for assault.

A was charged with assaulting his wife B and father-in-law C at his residence on July 23, last year.

At that time, at a meeting of the family to discuss the divorce issue, Mr. A found money that his wife B had hidden in the house and had an argument with Mr. B.

This amount was the funds that Mr. A had prepared with a small business loan to overcome Corona 19, but his wife B, who was preparing for a divorce, secretly withdrew from Mr. A and hid it.

Upon learning of this fact, Mr. A demanded the money back, pushed his wife Mr. B's neck, and grabbed the arm of Mr. C, the father-in-law who restrained it.

Accordingly, the prosecution charged Mr. A with assault, but the court did not accept the charges.

The court said, "It is difficult to see that the defendant's actions are unacceptable in the spirit of the entire legal order or the social ethics or social conventions behind it." It is significant,” he said.

At the time, Mr. A's clothes were torn, Mr. B's violence was not severe enough for Mr. B's mother to sit at the table and watch the situation, Mr. A never physically assaulted Mr. B during the marriage. He explained that he had taken into account the things that were not done.
