Although the number decreased by 119 from the previous day, it is an increase of 913 people from the 3,510 people on the 8th, a week ago.

Among them, 4,77 cases were confirmed in Korea and 346 were imported cases.

The number of imported confirmed cases from overseas, which has surpassed 400 and recorded the highest number ever, has again fallen to the level of 300.

Of the total confirmed cases, 2,983 were confirmed in the metropolitan area, accounting for 67% of the total, and 1,440 were confirmed in non-metropolitan areas.

The number of severe cases of severe disease was 626, a decrease of 33 from the previous day, and the number of deaths increased by 22 to a cumulative total of 6,281.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said that as of yesterday, 23.01 million people had completed their third dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The tertiary vaccination rate compared to the total population is 44.9%.

Yesterday, as the court made a decision to stop applying the quarantine pass to shops and department stores in downtown Seoul, the quarantine pass verification procedure has disappeared at the facilities in the Seoul area.

It has been five days since the first quarantine pass for supermarkets and department stores was introduced last Monday.

Immediately after yesterday's decision, frontline marts in Seoul started reorganization to simplify the customer access process, such as removing the quarantine pass information that was installed previously.

However, the mart said that the procedure for entering the QR code and checking the body temperature for entering the facility will continue as before.
