Prosecutors are investigating the so-called '5 billion club' allegation that they were promised money from developers in Daejang-dong, and called former special prosecutor Park Young-soo as the accused.

As this is the second summons since the first investigation in November of last year, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office's dedicated investigation team is said to be investigating the allegations against former special prosecutor Park.

After the establishment of Hwacheon Daeyu in 2015, former Special Prosecutor Park worked as an advisor and received an annual fee of 200 million won.

The daughter of former Special Prosecutor Park also worked as an employee of Hwacheon Daewoo and recently retired, but suspicions of preferential treatment were raised in June of last year when an apartment owned by Hwacheon Daewoo was sold at half the market price.

Former Special Prosecutor Park also served as an attorney when Jo Woo-hyeong, a loan broker at Busan Savings Bank, who arranged a 100 billion won loan to a private developer in Daejang-dong in 2009, was investigated by the Supreme Prosecutor's Office in 2011.

He was included in the list of '5 billion clubs' that was previously announced by Park Soo-young of People's Strength as a target for lobbying in Daejang-dong, but he has denied the allegations, saying that he did not receive any money.

In addition, Lee Mo, the representative of a sales agency in Daejang-dong, known as a relative of former special prosecutor Park, received 10.9 billion won from Kim Man-bae, the owner of Hwacheon Daeyu, and is suspected of delivering 10 billion won of this to Na Mo, a civil engineer.
