Fires continued throughout the country amid a strong cold wave during the holidays. In Hanam, Gyeonggi-do, a nearby highway rest area was temporarily shut down due to a big fire at the sofa factory.

Red flames burn as if they are engulfing the building, and black smoke rises endlessly into the sky.



Today (26th) around 10:40 a.m., a fire broke out at a sofa factory in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do.



As smoke and toxic gases soared from the burning factory, text messages were sent to nearby residents to evacuate.



The fire department issued the first stage of response and put out 39 equipment and 97 personnel to extinguish the fire in about 1 hour and 40 minutes.



No one was injured, but three factory buildings were burned.



The highway rest area right in front of the factory was temporarily closed in case of an emergency.



Fire officials plan to investigate the cause of the fire as soon as the remaining fires are cleared up.

The forest fire in Seomyeon, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do, which started yesterday afternoon, was completely extinguished by burning 10 hectares of forest around 11:20 am today.



In an instant, a strong wind of 15 m/s overlapped with a cold wave, and the flame was barely extinguished in 20 hours.



39 nearby residents were evacuated and there were no injuries.

this morning, a fire broke out in a five-story motel in Busanjin-gu, Busan.



A fire that started in a room where a guest stayed on the 4th floor evacuated 11 other guests, and two were taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.
